Lew Alcindor (Kareem Abdul Jabbar) 1969 RC PSA 7 Sells for $10k more in December 2020 than in March

I have been looking at buying a Lew Alcindor or otherwise know as Kareem Abdul Jabbar for years. Centered enough and high enough a grade.

Back in March I was thinking about picking one up then COVID shutdowns happened. The $1500 card I was looking at buying after years of capitulation is now completely out of reach as of December 2020.

Note the auction prices realized in early March for a PSA 7.

Then look at the auction ending December 23 for a nicely centerd PSA 7.

I hope they love that card because that is a $10k increase in price in 9 months. Dealers and sellers are loving it right now when a new collector comes along and pays these crazy premiums. Enjoy the hunt everyone!

How good are you at spotting reprint, original, or counterfeit cards?

Lets see if you can find the one card that doesn't belong... which one is the counterfeit card.
